Who is BKM?

My Name is Bob Mattice, I relocated to Red Deer in 1994 and I have been in the alarm industry since 1998 (I am aware I am aging myself as I write this...). My career began with my interest in low voltage automotive wiring, so I became certified in custom car audio installations through Mobile Dynamics Institute in 1993. Expanding on car audio, I began to include car alarm systems in my installations, which got me thinking about alarms from a larger perspective. I saw an advertisement in the newspaper (yes... I am aging myself AGAIN, but there was no kijiji or Workopolis back then), I applied, got accepted and so began my career in providing security.
Over the past two decades I have witnessed security technology advance and expand to include wireless home integration and automation, as well as the development of including smart phone compatible technology, something that was unheard of back when I began in 1998. I have experience in the design and installation of alarm, video surveillance, and access control systems.
With the freedom and independence of starting BKM Security & Controls, comes my ability to expand my knowledge and continue learning through new courses and certifications. This allows me to provide my clients with the newest most advanced and up-to-date products and services.
